Barrett Cloud has been actively engaged in all phases of control system design, integration, and installation since 1963 and has operated Barrett Engineering since 1979.

Mr. Cloud's experience in industrial application is broad-ranging, including, but certainly not limited to: weighing, blending and packaging systems, environmental monitoring of fluid flow in underground and aboveground piping systems and containment sumps, design and application of electrical discharge machining (EDM) systems, validation equipment for porcine prosthetic heart valves, design and production of portable electromyography (EMG) instruments, wire measuring, marking, cutting and stripping equipment, controls for a variety of printing systems, and temperature control of walk-in environmental test chambers.

As indicated by his broad range of experience, Mr. Cloud is a generalist who can apply the technology appropriate to the application. Mr. Cloud is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of California possessing license number CS 2094.

Carl Eggleston
Project Engineer

Mr. Eggleston has been a member of the technical staff of Barrett Engineering since 2001. His experience in production control and software engineering serve him well in the management of procurement, production, testing, and maintenance of the products designed and produced at Barrett Engineering.

In addition, Mr. Eggleston is the owner of Humhost, a customer centered, full-service computer consulting and web hosting firm, which provides clients with complete support from wiring, hardware, and network design, to a full range of Internet hosting packages including web design, database design, and special needs programming.

Charles Hand
Sr. Software Engineer

Mr. Hand has been actively engaged in the development of electronic systems since 1973. His experience as a software engineer has led him into a broad range of industrial applications including automatic x-ray exposure control, medical imaging systems, real-time image compression, object oriented simulation modeling tools, and Internet security research.

Most recently, his expertise has been directed toward embedded system control of manufacturing machines and industrial processes. Mr. Hand is fluent in multiple programming languages and has developed and taught university level courses in programming.

John Felt
Machine Shop Manager

Mr. Felt has extensive experience in custom machining and industrial technology. With over 30 years of experience as a head machinist, he enriches Barrett Engineering with his extensive knowledge and skill. With Mr. Felt on staff, the company's ability to provide custom machining services for our clients has been expanded and enhanced.

In addition to his broad range of experience, Mr. Felt has taught Machine Tool and Industrial Technology courses at College of the Redwoods (Eureka, California) over a span of 22 years. He holds a lifetime California Community College Instructor Credential, and a Certificate of Achievement in Machine Tool Technology from College of the Redwoods.

Nancy Cloud
Business Manager

Mrs. Nancy Cloud began working with Barrett Engineering at its inception. Her role has been primarily accounting. Recently as full-time Business Manager she has begun to oversee Human Resources and Logistics as well.

In addition to her training in accounting, she holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Anne Davis-Gervan
Marketing Director

Ms. Davis-Gervan oversees marketing, sales, product literature development, website management, and public relations. She has more than 20 years of experience in diverse product marketing venues including consumer packaged goods, aftermarket computer supplies, and financial services.

Before joining Barrett Engineering, she served as Marketing Director for two locally based financial institutions. She holds a BA in Psychology from Indiana University, and an MBA in Management with an emphasis in marketing from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
