Description

The PMTT is a combination liquid level and ullage testing system specifically designed to detect leaks in large fuel storage tanks. The state-of-the-art liquid level testing method uses ultrasonic technology which produces accurate results using affordable, user-friendly equipment. Ullage testing uses sophisticated software and audio filtering techniques to investigate the empty volume of the tank.

Features

For liquid level testing, ultrasonic technology is the method of choice. Accuracy of liquid level measurements of .0003”, versus .01” for magnetostrictive probes, can be achieved resulting in greater accuracy of leak evaluation. Test levels down to 17.5” in tanks of up to 30,000 gallons can be accommodated by the real-time analysis of relevant data points.

The ullage test uses a sophisticated data collection protocol and processing algorithm to convert and audio response to an easily differentiated analysis result. The ambient condition and pressurized response profile are processed through a noise canceling filter and the resulting waveform is analyzed for leakage noise signatures. Test results are presented in graphic and static forms.
